| Hi Neighbors,
As we step into 2026, I wanted to reach out with a quick Rosedale Residential Association update and a big thank you.
We are residents and volunteers. We are not the government. We are your neighborhood association, here to represent Rosedale, share timely updates, and help relay concerns to the right channels when you want support.
A quick spotlight before we get into priorities
This year, we want to recognize our Vice President, Shawn Woodford, as our Board Member and Resident of the Year.
Shawn has been serving on the RRA for years and stepped into the Vice President role in 2024.
If you have ever wondered how things actually get done behind the scenes, Shawn is a huge part of that. He is steady, responsive, and always the first to raise his hand when something needs doing. Rosedale is better because he gives his time, his energy, and his care to the community, and we are grateful for him.
Now, the most important part
What should the RRA prioritize in 2026?
Please reply with your top one to three priorities. The more specific you can be, the easier it is for us to advocate effectively.
To make it simple, you can copy and paste this:
- My top priority is
- Location if relevant
- What success looks like
- Best way to reach me optional
A few topics we are actively tracking
Windward development activity
We are monitoring what is happening and staying engaged on community impact such as traffic, safety, and quality of life. If you have specific concerns, times, locations, photos, or details, send them. Details matter.
1 Sycamore, the Buddhist temple property
We are tracking updates and want to understand any neighborhood concerns so we can elevate them appropriately.
The new marijuana dispensary
Before it opened, it seemed like the neighborhood was strongly opposed. Now that it is operating, I opened dialogue with the owner. He has said he is willing to work with the neighborhood and address reasonable concerns if we can provide clear examples of nuisances.
One example residents have mentioned is exterior and neon lighting after operating hours. If you have concerns, please reply with specifics such as
Lights after hours and what side of the building
Noise
Litter or trash
Parking overflow
Anything else impacting quality of life
We cannot promise outcomes, but we can advocate more effectively when we have clear, consistent reports from residents.
One more quick note on what is coming next
Shortly following this email, we will be sending an invitation to our biannual neighborhood meeting. This upcoming meeting will be on Zoom so it is easy for everyone to join. Our annual in person meeting will be held in May.
We work for you
If you want an update, have a concern, want help escalating something, or want to share information, please reach out anytime. And if you would like to volunteer, even in a small way, we would love the help.
Thank you again, and here is to keeping Rosedale one of the best neighborhoods in America and making it even better in 2026.
Warmly,
Anthony Fiorenza
