| Hello Rosedale neighbors,
I want to make you aware of two important upcoming opportunities to speak out on Con Edison’s proposed rate increases. The Public Service Commission is holding in-person public statement hearings right here in Westchester — and your input can make a real difference.

Hearings will take place at the following locations:
Cortlandt
Cortlandt Town Hall – Vincent F. Nyberg Meeting Room
Tuesday, July 8, 2025
1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
White Plains
Westchester County Center – First Floor Meeting Room
Wednesday, July 9, 2025
1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
These hearings are part of the rate case process, where regulators evaluate whether the utility’s proposed increases are justified. Given the already incredibly high utility rates and bills we’ve all been facing in recent years, and now proposed double-digit increases, it’s more important than ever to make your voice heard. These rate hikes would have a serious impact on affordability in Westchester and could place even more strain on families, seniors, and small businesses.
If you’ve experienced issues with billing, customer service, outages, or have broader concerns about affordability, equity, or infrastructure investment, this is your chance to speak directly to the regulators. Testimony is typically limited to three minutes per person.
The Public Utility Law Project (PULP) has created a helpful guide to prepare for the hearings: PULP Guide to Participating in Rate Case Hearings. |
