Dear Rosedale Residents,
We are writing to inform you of a suspicious incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 5th, involving a vehicle taking photos or videos of homes in our neighborhood.
At approximately 1:00 AM-1:30 AM, a white SUV slowly drove past homes in Rosedale. On multiple occasions, the driver and passenger of the vehicle stopped, reversed, then appeared to take photos or video footage of the person’s property in the early morning hours.
This activity was captured on Ring cameras and has been formally reported to the White Plains Department of Public Safety by the homeowner along with the video footage. The RRA is cooperating fully with the authorities and has asked that we alert all neighbors to stay vigilant.
What you can do:
- Check your own security cameras for any unusual activity from 1:00–1:30 AM on Saturday April 5th
- Report any unusual activity or additional information to the White Plains Department of Public Safety
- Ensure all doors, windows, and vehicles are locked at night
- Never leave keys or valuables in vehicles
- Make sure to turn your alarm system on at night and every time when leaving your home
- Consider keeping porch and motion lights on during overnight hours
We don’t want to cause alarm—but we do want to take this seriously and look out for one another. The safety of our community is our top priority.
Stay safe and don’t hesitate to reach out to the RRA if you have any questions or information.
